Trakm8 invests in engineering facilities at its’ Shaftesbury office
Trakm8 Holdings plc has outlined the further investment in engineering resources at its’ Shaftesbury office, following the announcement that it has created space following the relocation of the Finance function to the West Midlands.
Trakm8’s original engineering team located at Wincombe Business Park, will be enlarged to engineer telematics solutions for the insurance, fleet and automotive sectors.
Trakm8’s head office relocation was disclosed in the company’s Interim Results statement, whereby the company also announced a 29% increase in its solutions revenues, 17% growth in recurring revenues following a number of new contract wins and extensions including Calor Gas, Iceland Foods, Shell, and Direct Line Group.
John Watkins, Executive Chairman, said:
“We have been based at Shaftesbury for 15 years and are therefore very familiar with the level of engineering and high technology talent the region can produce. The Shaftesbury office will continue to play a key role in our ongoing plans for growth. The relocation of our finance function to the Midlands serves to streamline some of our internal processes but has also enabled us to expand our engineering resource in Shaftesbury.
“The additional space within the facility has allowed us to recruit & re-locate engineering staff and has enabled us to expand our laboratory. By doing so we are able to further develop the innovative technologies the industry demands.”
