Trakm8 and Autoglass® join forces for Brake’s Road Safety Week

Trakm8 and Autoglass®, the UK’s leading vehicle glass repair, replacement and recalibration company, will be hosting a joint webinar to coincide with the launch of Brake’s Road Safety Week 2020.

Going live on Monday 16th November, Trakm8 and Autoglass® will be examining how technology can be used to engage motorists and improve both road safety and driver behaviour. The webinar will focus on key statistics and data Brake has obtained from the UK police force on road incidents this year.

The webinar will have special significance for the businesses, as Trakm8 supplies its plug-in telematics solutions and Roadhawk branded dash cams to fleet vehicles at Autoglass®

Coordinated by road safety charity Brake, Road Safety Week is an annual event that promotes safer driving and life-saving messages to key communities across Britain. This year’s event, taking place between 16th-22nd November, is centred around the theme of No Need to Speed and the importance of fostering greater speed awareness among road users.

Chris Woods, Head of Enterprise Sales at Trakm8, Andrew Ertl, Fleet Manager at Autoglass® and Chris Willocks, Corporate Partnership Manager at Brake will deliver the webinar.

Speaking ahead of the event, Chris said: “Trakm8 has always been a keen supporter of Brake’s Road Safety Week and the vital work it does in saving lives on British roads. We’re delighted to be partnering with Autoglass® to deliver a keynote webinar at the start of this year’s event, discussing both primary learnings from our relationship to date and the wider role technology can play in shoring-up road safety nationwide.”

Andrew added: “We are once again proud to be supporting this year’s Road Safety Week. Brake does a fantastic job at promoting road safety every year at the event, which is vitally important in educating road users about the associated risks. We are thrilled to be working with Trakm8 to better understand and educate road users and the wider fleet industry about how the introduction of vehicle technology and having more data available can increase road safety. Crucially this year we are keen to promote the fact that increasing road safety does not have to cost the earth.”

With a partnership dating back to 2018, Trakm8’s technology solutions have been able to provide a measurable difference to the efficiency of the Autoglass® fleet. Among the key gains Trakm8’s self-install devices have been able to deliver area 50% reduction on idling and an increase in the average driver behaviour score per vehicle from 91% to 98%.

Chris Willocks, Corporate Partnership Manager at Brake, said: “Road Safety Week is an annual campaign and the biggest road safety awareness event in the UK. During Road Safety Week, thousands of organisations, schools and communities take part with road safety demonstrations, events, awareness video screenings, talks and more.

“Brake appreciate the support from long-time corporate partners Autoglass® and Trakm8 and look forward to taking part in their webinar, aimed at educating those driving for work of the benefits of using data to improve driving behaviours.”
